Kimball Print Shop by FOS

A little detour in my FSM journey, but influenced by my last build. The FOS monthly club kits are small structures that don't require a lot of effort. Nonetheless, the majority of them are fairly interesting. Others would possibly disagree with me, but I found the Kimball Print Shop lacking the spark so I modified it.
The changes I made weren't big, but quite significant for a structure of such size. I replaced the clapboard siding of the first floor with stucco. I glued the windows inside out to make them look more like masonry. Also, I moved one because after removing the bump it was in an odd spot. The bump ended up on the second floor. Finally, I covered the roof with "tin sheets" instead of the tarpaper.
I hate to be patting myself on the back, but I think the resulting structure has more character than the original.

Westside Auto by FSM

Here is yet another FSM build. This time Westside Auto. I made a few changes when building my version. George painted the main building in buff and red. However, after having just done the Brownsville Station exactly the same way I was weary of this color scheme. I used off white and green instead. I think it has worked out quite well.
Because of the main building color change I felt that the patina colored roof over the back shed was going to add too much green. I still wanted the same texture though so I used the same roofing material, but painted it as tin instead of the oxidized copper.
I could have possibly also changed the appearance of the storage shed, but I wanted to try George's method of painting and weathering. Therefore, I did it per instructions.
Overall I am happy with the way the diorama has turned out. Not the number one on my list of favorites, but fairy close.
